HKSI 30th Anniversary Celebration
To commemorate its significant achievements over the past 30 years, the HKSI organised a range of celebration activities in 2022/23. Most notable amongst these anniversary celebrations was the staging of a series of roving exhibitions at New Town Plaza, Metro City Plaza and Lok Fu Place respectively from 26 May to 3 July 2022, attracting over 300,000 visitors. The six-week exhibition highlighted the memorable moments and achievements of the HKSI via a variety of interactive games and engaging activities to enable the public to learn more about the role and services of the Institute. Elite athlete sharing sessions were also organised at each exhibition.
An Instagram filter game with giveaway campaign was mounted from 27 May to 10 June 2022 to provide participants a virtual tour of the HKSI and an opportunity to learn about its key facilities and elite sports.
Officiated by Mr Eric Chan Kwok-ki, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR; Mr Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism; and the HKSI Chairman, the HKSI 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner took place on 30 November 2022. Over 500 guests, including Government officials, members of the Executive Council and Legislative Council, sports community representatives, partners, sponsors, the HKSI Board of Directors, coaches, athletes and staff gathered to commemorate the 30th anniversary and recognise the outstanding achievements of Hong Kong elite athletes.
Other Collaborations

As the partner organisation for the Hong Kong Paralympic Day on 30 October 2022, the HKSI showcased its promotional videos, interactive games, and sports gear of the Tokyo Olympics medallists, and also distributed souvenirs to inspire the public. The exhibition attracted over 2,600 visitors.
The HKSI has been featured in one of the eight “Thousands of Reasons to Like Hong Kong” promotional videos produced by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong under the HKSAR Government, with an aim to promote Hong Kong’s culture and lifestyle. The video has been aired since March 2023 in online media.
The HKSI Chief Executive participated in a video shoot under the HKSAR Government’s “Hello Hong Kong” Campaign. The promotional video has been broadcast since March 2023 through various media channels.
