MOUs for Collaboration
The HKSI signed an agreement with Mr Adam Kwok Kai-fai, Executive Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties and the HKUST on 11 April 2019 to commence the “A. Kwok Sports Aerodynamics Science Initiative” project launched by the HKUST. Under the agreement, Mr Kwok will donate HK$6 million to the project to enhance elite cyclists’ performance at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics and other Major Games.
Elite Training Seminar Series
The HKSI organised four Elite Training Seminars during the year. These provided an interactive platform for information and experience sharing between stakeholders – including coaches, athletes, sports science and medicine professionals, NSAs, sports administrators, academics and students. Topics covered included strength and conditioning, sports medicine and athlete rehabilitation, psychological fitness and nutritional supplementation.
