The HKSI will host an Open Day on 20 January 2019 (Sunday). Elite athletes will attend the event and share their road to excellence with the public, including:

  • Lai Chun-ho (Athletics): member of the Hong Kong record 4x100m relay team;
  • Tse Ying-suet (Badminton): silver medallist in the mixed doubles, 2018 Asian Games;
  • Robbie Capito (Billiard Sports): 1st Runner-up, 2018 WPA World 9 Ball Junior Championship;
  • Ng Lok-wang (Fencing): bronze medallist in the junior men’s foil individual, 2018 Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships;
  • Ng Kiu-chung (Gymnastics): bronze medallist, 5th Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championship;
  • Chiu Hin-chun (Rowing): silver medallist in the men's lightweight single sculls, 2018 Asian Games;
  • Mok Uen-ying (Wushu): double gold medallist in the women’s group B new Chan style taijijian and new Yang style taijijian, 3rd World Taijiquan Championships


At HKSI Open Day, participants can come face-to-face with Hong Kong elite athletes and coaches at insightful sharing sessions, challenge themselves through onsite fitness tests and have a closer look at the state-of-the-art facilities where elite athletes train. Participants can also unleash their potentials in different sports via diversified sport activities from Cycling, Dragon Boat, Golf, Rowing, Rugby, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis, to Tenpin Bowling. What’s more? Interactive game booths by Home Affairs Bureau, Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled, instant photo booth and guided tours will also be available for the public. Register now for an energetic and fun afternoon at the HKSI!

Early registration is strongly recommended due to limited space. Since some of the activities will take place at indoor sports facilities, participants should wear clean non-marking rubber-outsole sports shoes.
