Programme Highlights

Sports Tryout

Fourteen national sports associations will host interactive tryout booths, featuring golf, tennis, windsurfing and more. This year, for the first time, lacrosse—a new team sport to be included in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games—will be featured, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of this Olympic event firsthand.

The Sports Tryout will run from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Participants who complete designated tryouts will receive a limited-edition souvenir, available while stocks last.

HKSI Zone

Through interactive games, the HKSI Zone offers visitors a chance to explore how sports science empowers elite athletes to push boundaries and enhance performance. The Zone features a variety of engaging challenges and DIY workshops designed to make learning enjoyable.

The HKSI Zone will be open from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Workshops require on-site registration and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Talent Identification Test

Designed by the HKSI’s Talent Identification and Development Unit, this assessment includes a range of scientifically based evaluations, such as 10 meters sprints and standing vertical jumps, to help participants understand their individual physical attributes. Visitors are welcome to take on the challenge and explore their athletic potential.

On-site registration is required, and limited places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration times and session details will be announced at the venue on the day.

HKSI Guided Tour

Led by experienced guides, the Guided Tours offer visitors an exclusive opportunity to explore the HKSI’s core training facilities, including the Swimming Complex, Rowing Centre and Multi-purpose Training Hall. For the first time, selected tour routes will also feature the newly opened New Facilities Building. This state-of-the-art complex integrates sports medicine, sports science, strength and conditioning, and specific sports training, offering a rare opportunity to gain deeper insight into the region’s elite training and support environment.

Tours require on-site registration, with limited places available on a first-come, first-served basis. Locations covered may vary depending on the tour route. Tour times and registration details will be announced at the venue on the day.

Sports Demonstrations & Meet with Athletes

Elite athletes will deliver a series of demonstrations showcasing their specialist techniques and training practices. Selected athletes will also share their personal journeys as high performance athletes and their competitive experiences, aiming to inspire greater public interest in sport, particularly among the younger generation.

New this year, the Chill Band, formed by the HKSI athletes, will also perform live, adding a vibrant musical touch to the day’s programme and showcasing the diverse talents of Hong Kong’s elite athletes beyond the sporting arena.

Demonstrations will take place at designated times; please refer to the on-site schedule for details. The Meet with Athletes session will begin immediately after the Opening Ceremony at 2:00pm. No registration is required for either the Demonstrations or the Meet with Athletes session, all are welcome to attend.

The programme is subject to change without prior notice.
