Historic Success at World University Games

Hong Kong team made a triumphant return from the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, bringing home an unprecedented 12 medals. Among all, fencer Cheung Ka-long topped the podium in the men’s foil individual event and later won another gold in the team event with Choi Chun-yin, Lee Yat-long and Ng lok-wang, while fencer Hsieh Sin-yan also captured gold in the women’s epee individual event. Furthermore, wushu athlete Hui Tak-yan took the title in the men’s taijijian event. Hong Kong team concluded this year’s Games with 4 gold 1 silver and 7 bronze.
