At the 19th Asian Senior Karate Championship, Lau Mo-sheung and Tsang Yee-ting made history for Hong Kong by winning their first-ever gold in the female individual kata and individual kumite -50kg events respectively. Together with the bronze medal achieved by Cheng Hui-pan in the male individual kumite -67kg event, Hong Kong team brought home a total of three medals.
