HKSI Welcomes Government’s Move to Secure the Olympic Broadcast Rights for Hong Kong Public and Athletes
The HKSI welcomes the Government’s move to secure the broadcast rights of the Tokyo Olympics.
Dr Lam Tai-fai SBS JP, Chairman of the HKSI, said, “It is a correct and wise decision for the Government to secure the broadcast rights of the Tokyo Olympics and have the five local broadcasters bringing the sports extravaganza to the public for free. The move well matches the expectation of the public and sports sector as it will not only bring positive energy to the society, but also help the development of local sports.”
Being the Government’s designated organisation to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports, the HKSI is committed to working in partnership with the Government, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and the National Sports Associations to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured, and developed to pursue excellence in the international competitions.
