A Best Practice Model at the Australian Institute of Sport

Dr Michael Martin is the Head of Performance Psychology in AIS since 2004. His interests are in exceeding client expectations, service delivery structures and mental skills training. The AIS Psychology Department provide specialised services to Australian Institute of Sport athletes and coaches as well as State and National Sporting Organisations, professional teams, and institutes and academies of sport Australia-wide.The department incorporates the following streams:Performance Psychology Stream - with qualified and experienced sport psychologists working directly with athletes and coaches designing and delivering practical performance enhancement strategies.Athlete Counselling Service - providing innovative psychological services and programs aimed at enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of AIS athletes.Skill Acquisition Stream - helping athletes acquire, develop and control their skills to perform better in their sport.It is our pleasure to have Dr Martin share with us "A Best Practice Model at the Australian Insitute of Sport".
